Re-Evaluating Disability Benefits
About one year ago I spoke to an insurance person about the possibility of getting disability and professional overhead insurance for myself and my business. The lady sat across from my desk and was giving me all kinds of information and started taking down information. When I told her my age she said she couldn't write a disability policy for me as I was to old.
With the advent of what has been happening to the economy world-wide, with many people loosing their pension funds, homes , and other investments, there is a reasonable chance that many people who have retired will or are thinking of going back to work. I have no intention of retiring and love working and being entrepreneurial and a professional, but, there are people who are being caught off guard by what is happening and will have to upset their lifestyles by returning to work.
Has the federal government taken into consideration the effect of all the people having to go back to work and what would happen to them if they get disabled and are unable to pay their bills?
