Folks Were In For The Stay!!!

Politically there is a considerable amount of discouse going around about what should or should not be done with the troops in Iraq. What we have to do is look at the track record of what has happened in the past in easy conflicts and serious wars.

The United States to my knowledge has over 700 military basis around the world. WWII ended in 1945 but to my knowlege we still have troops in Germany, Italy and Japan and they are now allies of the United States. The Korean War ended in 1952 but we still have troops in Korea. The Vietnam Conflict was a political managerie which caused our undisputable pull out. There are some people that can not visualize`the importance of maintaining a reasonable facsimile of the status quo into the distant future in order to maintain global security. To not do so will only make our children and grandchildren feel similar pain that we sustained on September 11, 2001
