The State Of Health In The USA Today

For the past two generations (25-50 years) many diseases in the United States have been stabilized or irradicated such as polio, tuberculosis and smallpox. But, it is my understanding that the incidents of tuberculosis is beginning to increase with the migration of certain immigrants to the United States mainly from Russia. The incidents of smallpox is also increasing with the migration coming from the southern countries. There have even been incidents of polio reported from people from southern countries.

AIDS and HIV is being controlled reasonably in the younger people up to the age of 60 years old but is increasing in the seniors over 60 years old. Does this mean that our seniors are very active sexually or foolishly active by not using protection or some other possible reason.

There is concern over the Avian Flu which is growing and mutating in the South Pacific at present. What effect will it have on our continent when it reaches here in three or four months? Will we have a vaccine to combat this disease correctly if it keeps mutating?

I hope and I believe the CDC is on these illnesses and is doing what they can to controll, stabilize and irradicate the aforementioned diseases and a few others which are becoming very virulent.
